As Vine Harvest, we have undertaken the commitment to help making the world a better place by being proactive in ensuring we frame the future through empowering the needy and willing through education. WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT

Education

Albert Einstein famously remarked that intelligence should not be judged by the same standard for everyone—like asking a fish to climb a tree. At Vine Harvest, we share this belief. Education is a right that should be available to all, but we also understand the importance of nurturing each individual’s unique gifts and talents. Some children thrive in academics, while others excel in sports, arts, or business. Education should provide a foundational understanding for everyone while helping them discover and develop their natural inclinations. Through the dedicated efforts of our social workers, Vine Harvest identifies needy and orphaned children at the primary level who are in need of support. Our generous sponsors fund these children’s education through secondary school and often extend their support into tertiary education. This ongoing commitment ensures that each child we support can continue their education without the fear of financial barriers. For students without individual sponsors, we rely on the collective efforts of our supporters who raise funds each year to cover the upcoming academic period. Shoes

OUR SHOE VISION At Vine Harvest, we believe that providing shoes to children from less privileged backgrounds helps them walk with greater comfort and dignity. Through the generosity of well-wishers, we have collected, repaired, and cleaned shoes, which we then distribute to children and adults in the Mukuru Slums of Nairobi. We warmly invite and encourage our donors to join us in the life-changing experience of gifting a brand-new pair of school shoes to a young child in need. WHY SHOES? Shoes symbolize pride and instil confidence in young learners, allowing them to walk to school comfortably rather than barefoot. They also serve as a crucial barrier, protecting our children’s delicate feet from Africa’s rugged and often harsh terrain. We believe that every child deserves a sturdy pair of shoes—strong enough to safeguard their feet whether they’re playing, competing on the sports field, or navigating muddy, gravel roads on their way home. To date, we have donated over 500 pairs of shoes to vulnerable children.

Mentorship

Empowering the Next Generation: VHESF’s Mentorship Programs At Vine Harvest Educational Support Foundation (VHESF), we understand that education extends beyond the classroom. To truly empower the next generation, we must also nurture their personal development, equip them with life skills, and guide them through the challenges they face. That’s why we offer comprehensive mentorship programs designed to support and inspire our students. Our mentorship programs provide students with access to talks and guidance from qualified professionals on relevant issues affecting today’s youth. These programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of our students, whether through one-on-one mentorship sessions or organized forums that reach a broader group, including students outside of the VHESF program. Individual mentorship is always conducted with the presence of a VHESF official, ensuring a supportive and safe environment. We believe in the power of community and collaboration.
